Colin Harrisskitt

As an industry veteran with over 20 years of experience in the field, Colin has held Senior Health and Safety leadership positions for a variety of blue-chip companies, lending his talents in managing health, safety, and security to complex projects across the globe.

Colin has worked in the UK, Europe, Asia, Africa and Australia in a wide range of sectors including oil and gas (upstream, midstream and downstream), electrical transmission and distribution, pipeline installation, renewable energy, power generation, nuclear, chemical processing, petrochemical, water treatment, manufacturing and new build construction. His past titles have included Client HSSE Manager, Head of HSSE and Corporate HSSE Manager.

Using natural leadership abilities and behavioural-based safety as key differentiators, Colin has displayed the ability to consistently implement HSSE step change within organisations.

He has significant experience developing and managing governance and assurance programs on large-scale international projects whilst developing local HSSE teams, embedding skills transfer and developing health and safety management systems. Colin is a lead incident investigator with excellent working knowledge of HSSE legislation and the requirements of ISO45001 and ISO14001 management system standards.

Educated primarily through accredited, hands-on work experience, Colin has an NVQ Level 6 in Occupational Health and Safety. He has also served as an active member of several external bodies, including the European Construction Industry and Engineering Construction Industry Association.
