Richard Southern

Over the past 17 years, Richard has established himself as a leading environmental project manager for major infrastructure projects on both green field sites and reclaimed land. He’s served on senior management and site project teams across the globe.

In addition to numerous projects in the UK (including the northern isles), Richard has worked on energy and infrastructure projects in Albania, Greece and Italy. He’s assisted with the planning, construction, and commissioning phases in a variety of unique landscapes and habitats for onshore and offshore pipeline installation, overhead power lines, oil and gas processing facilities and power stations. He specialises in biodiversity management, reinstatement and erosion control, waste management, screening assessments and site auditing, to name just a few of his specific technical capabilities.

With past and current clients that include major oil and gas operators, transportation and public utility companies, as well as international consultancies and governmental subsidiaries, Richard has a proven ability to efficiently collaborate with a diverse assortment of project stakeholders. He also liaises with international finance institutions and NGOs.

Richard has a BSc in Biology and Psychology and PGDip Environmental Risk Management certification from the University of Wales. He also holds IOSH Managing Safely in Construction and IEMA Advanced Environmental Auditing certifications.
